About Me
I am Director of Worship Team Ministry at University Baptist Church in Galveston, Texas. I was blessed to attend the first annual NWLC in Austin, texas last year and got to meet a huge number of great worship leaders. I’ve been a worship leader for 15 years, a music teacher, and most recently I teach drama for our local homeschool co-op. I’ve had quite a few challenges in my ministry, but my recent diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis last October was the most challenging. One of the songs that has become a theme song for me, which I first heard at NWLC at Riverbend church in Austin was "Everlasting God" by Brenton Brown. "Strength DOES rise as we wait upon the Lord" and I am living proof. I have a rather progressive form of MS, so I may not always be able to lead worship, but as long as I have the muscles to sing to my Everlasting God, I will!

News from the swampland ( I mean beautiful island) of Galveston
by Terri Pollock on Mon, 05/26/2008 - 2:26amWell, I’ve finally come to the point in my struggle with MS where I need to take a sabbatical from leading Worship. I still rely on and have as my ringtone, "Everlasting God", because I believe He has strength left to give me, and has always had a plan for my life in His service.
I just lead my last worship service, (for now), because my singing voice has deteriorated to the point where lowering the keys to worship songs isn’t even working, and it takes me a full day to recover.
