This song came to me over a period of time while studying and contemplating the attributes of God. The word grandeur simply means greatness or the state of being great. The verse mentions some of these attributes and the chorus is meant to be a response. Ironically enough, the chorus ends with the statement "where do we begin to praise the grandeur of a King", so I guess God’s greatness is so vast that I did not get a grip on it…which I guess is a good thing. I hope you are encouraged to seek God and that this song may be of use to you in corporate and private worship.
VERSE
Faithful in all You say, Glorious in all Your ways
Slow to anger, full of love
When You open Your hand we hunger and thirst no more
You shower compassion over all
Pre-chorus
In all Your ways we stand amazed and look to You for help
We see Your power in all the earth and live in awe
Chorus
The grandeur of a King, how can our hearts not sing
of the greatness of the God of glory, love to make us free
Mercy with no end, where do we begin to praise
The grandeur of a King
