I was sitting at the piano trying to write a song (which is usually a formula for failure for me) because I couldn’t find another song that reflected the love I was feeling for the Lord at that moment. I was gradually progressing through several stages of worship. I started by just enjoying the fact that I couldn’t fully understand what God has done for me, even on a day to day basis, but I could trust that God gives nothing but good gifts to His children. Then I started to get just a glimpse of how consistently He reaches out to me and how great He is compared to how needy I am. Then I realized that He is so awesome that I can only understand, see, experience, feel, interact, or enjoy Him as much as He chooses to reveal of Himself. The truth is that He revealed Himself fully on the cross, and out of the tomb. Whatever He does for me now is secondary and only possible because of what He did for me then. He is good, He is great, and He is truly awesome!
