The Lord was impressing on me that I don’t need to fear His voice. Sometimes I have a tendency to run away from God’s conviction, but He wants me to understand that conviction and condemnation are very different things. He will judge, but that does not eradicate His love for me; in fact it confirms it. He chastens those He loves, and so I know that He is paying attention to me when I see His hand active in my life, even when it hurts. I should grow hungry for those times when He corrects me because it means that I am becoming more like Him. Little children want to be just like daddy. I should spend my life seeking after His voice because it is ultimately going to lead me into His presence; first in this life, and later on in Heaven.
