This was the first song I ever wrote. I felt God speak to me to sing over a friend’s dad who was in ICU and I didn’t want to do it because I knew it would be the hardest thing I had ever had to do…I chose obedience even though I cried almost through the whole song and a few days later he passed away. The day after his funeral I was driving home from church and the words and music came all at once. It was definitely a God moment for me writing it as well as sharing it with my friend whose father had passed away.
