About Me
The Lord has allowed me the opportunity to lead worship in churches of various styles and sizes for 16 years. I presently lead worship at Crossbridge Baptist Church in Augusta, GA (www.crossbridgeonline.com). I have been married to Marcha since 1994 and have four children: Peter, Zachariah, Marina and Noah.
I studied music at Campbellsville University (‘96) in Campbellsville, KY, and received a Master of Arts in Christian Education (‘00) from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
My heart is to see people move past religion into a relationship with God!

This song of praise was written in my office back in April 2008. It came about while my computer was rebooting after freezing up. I grabbed my guitar and began singing Brenton Browns "Hallelujah (Your Love is Amazing)" and this is what came out of it!
We premiered it in our worship service on 4/27/08. You can see it at www.youtube.com/dough54321. The mp3 is rough since its from the video camera. I hope to put a better recording up later. The chart contains both the chord chart and the lead sheet.

We’ve all heard the argument before… "Praise music doesn’t have the theology that hymns do." This has bothered me for some time, especially when the person who is stating their case for hymns uses songs like "Amazing Grace" and "Because He Lives" as the "hymns" we ought to be singing.
