About Me
First thanks for stopin in to read about me. First of all I believe I am "a bond servant" for the one and only Lord. I can say this because I know the Lord dwells in me through his presence and power of believing in Jesus the son of God. I say this first because nothin else matters for me, but the love I have for my heavenly father.
My interest in direction of music came to me the year I decided to go on a mission trip to Russia in 2002. It was there the Lord revealed to me through others that I had a voice to sing. Without any vocal lessons which shows mostly to the trained ear, I decided to start writing songs. At the same time I began taking guitar lessons.
In summer of 2005 as I was praying, I felt the Lord leading me to produce a worship CD. But I waited because I wanted more. In the beginning of fall in 2006 I recieved my mission which is to talk about the importance of knowing Word of God and knowing presence of Lord in everyday life. So besides singing these songs I talk about these subjects in a direct but gently convicting way. My hope one day is that God will show up without being asked and heal someone during one of Boaz and the Band’s events. So far I have had the previlege to be present during prayer where people have been healed. The one that’s stickout in my mind is a lady who was healed at work when I prayed for her knee. She was in awh and began to jump as she praised the Lord. Most recently a lady at a prayer meeting was healed from shoulder pain.
My other hope is that the Lord will reignite prophecy in the church. Prophecy to see his will for the church which I believe will only come when people dig deeper into his Word not just to gain knowledge but to enter into a deeper understanding of his presence in our everyday lives. For we are called to be one with him and that is not just a figure of speech it is a way of life.
As a worship leader, song writer, Associate Pastor at a small church in Tacoma, physical therapy assistant, husband, and father to my son my hope is that people will see my life as a testimony to glorify my heavenly father through my faith in Jesus, son of God.
